The action takes place in a fictional city, Los Santos (simple parody of Los Angeles) and mostly zones, from San Andreas (California of nowdays).

Gameplay

As you know from the previous Grand Theft Auto ( GTA ) games, the principal character, is saw from the third-person who is free to explore the world, either on foot or by bicycle, vehicle, aircraft, tanks. This player has lots of missions, and he can progress following the story of the game, completing all the missions.

There are three principal characters on the single player mode :  Michael, Trevor and Franklin, criminals whose stories overlap in missions that they do together. During a mission, the player can take control of another protagonist when they work together to achieve a goal.
